Our decarbonisation imperative

PIL is committed to improving our operational greenhouse gases (GHG) footprint and achieve net zero GHG emissions by 2050 by leveraging on various key strategies and initiatives.

These actions align with the global imperative for decarbonisation in the shipping industry.

Our long-term decarbonisation approach will focus on the 3 key levers of:

  1. Enhancing fleet operations efficiency
  2. Adoption of fuel efficiency technologies
  3. Investing in green fuels and fleet transition

As a shipping company, the adopting of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is not only a responsible choice but also a strategic one to create value for our stakeholders. PIL has adopted the following 11 UN SDGs:
